What does it mean to "activate" a workflow?

Activating a Workflow publishes a stable, read-only version that can run live Jobs, ensuring executions always follow a validated blueprint.

How to Activate a Workflow

  1. Fix all critical errors in the Action Items panel. The Activate button stays disabled until blocking issues are resolved.
  2. Click Activate in the Workflow header.
  3. Confirm in the pop-up modal to publish.

Once activated, the Workflow is locked for editing. It can then run Jobs manually or via automated triggers. To make updates, create a new draft version—keeping the live Workflow safe and unchanged.
