What is a Human Task?

A  Human Task pauses a Workflow for a human to perform a pre-specified task on the basis of provided inputs and expected output formats. This option can be used to perform structured data entry tasks in cases where automation is insufficient.

How It Works

  • When running, the Workflow pauses at the Human Task.
  • The assignee is shown the Inputs and Task Blueprint as read-only.
  • The assignee completes the required Output fields and submits before the configured deadline.
  • If the deadline is not met, the workflow can follow a defined fallback or wait for manual intervention. You can configure this behavior in Workflow Settings.
